Leisure and Labour is a collaborative artwork created with my former life partner Johann, for the exhibition POINTS Focal in Sciacca, Italy in 2013. POINTS Focal is a shifting group of artists that periodically join, disperse and re-assemble in different configurations with the purpose of subverting brand fetishism of the art establishment and art star. POINTS Focal renews the notion of collectively-produced art and participatory art.

Creating this work was an opportunity to examine our lives with respect to the designs we use and enjoy. We do not take the designs for granted. They are the tools and furnishings that enrich us with comfort, ease and delight throughout our daily routines in acts of leisure and labour. Johann and I feel this artwork touches upon issues of class, gender, leisure, labour, technology, craft and the practicality of daily living.
